"Invested with a quiet grace and emotional power" -- Bloomington Herald-Times
Hello, I'm glad you're here. I'm a songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana and currently live in Brooklyn, New York.
My first full-length LP, One Day in May, was made at San Francisco's Tiny Telephone on two marathon weekends separated by a year. It is a scrapbook of endings, beginnings, fortunes, failures, courage and humility. Check it out here!
I also play bass in the Bay Area-based cosmic-Americana band, Cazadero. I was part of their first three albums beginning in 2012. It's hard for me to pick a favorite.
In 2002 I worked with Dylan Magierek of Badman Recording Co. (My Morning Jacket, Innocence Mission) at Tim Mooney's Closer Studios in San Francisco. From these sessions came the "Hey Sue" b/w "Bloody Breathitt" 7". I'm still very proud of that one. Listen here.
Most recently I released 4 on 10, a gatefold 10" record featuring Jason Slota (Thao & the Getdown Staydown) on drums, Jamie Riotto (John Vanderslice) on bass and Nate Cavalieri (The Sights, Saturday Looks Good To Me) on keyboards. Click here to listen.
